(Aarav is already seated, nervously stirring his coffee. Rhea walks in. She hasn’t seen him in a year. Their eyes meet. A pause. She sits.)

Rhea:
You said just one coffee. That’s all.

Aarav: (nods)
One coffee. I’ll stick to it.

(Silence. The sound of rain. She looks at him – part curious, part hurt.)

Rhea:
You look... the same.

Aarav:
You don’t. You look stronger.

Rhea: (a slight smile)
Maybe heartbreak has protein in it.

(They laugh, briefly. A moment of peace.)

Aarav:
I didn’t come to ask for anything. I just wanted to say...
I didn’t leave because I stopped loving you.
