Genre: Thriller / Spy Drama

[INT. ABANDONED WAREHOUSE—NIGHT—RAIN OUTSIDE]
(Ayaan walks
in, gun in hand. Nira is already there, sitting casually on a crate, a gun on
the floor near her boot. They lock eyes.)
Ayaan:
Funny place for a midnight date.
Nira: (smirks)
We’ve had worse.
Ayaan:
I got the report. Dubai. Istanbul. Berlin.
You’ve been everywhere I wasn’t supposed to know.
Nira:
And yet... you found me.
Ayaan: (steps closer)
Because I stopped trusting you.
And when a spy stops trusting their partner...
It gets dangerous.
(Beat. He
raises the gun slightly. Her eyes don’t flinch.)
Nira:
What do you want, Ayaan? An apology? A confession? A bullet?
Ayaan:
The truth.
Nira: (stands slowly)
The truth is...
You were the cover. I was the mission.
But somewhere along the way... I forgot which was which.
(A tense
silence. Rain thunders outside.
Ayaan:
Say the safe word.
Nira: (coldly)
You don’t believe me?
Ayaan:
I believe in code. Not feelings.
Nira: (softly)
Velvet.
(The safe word.)
(Ayaan
lowers the gun. Barely. She steps forward.)
Nira:
Now the real question is—do we run?
Or finish what we started?
