Welcome… to Lonavala’s haunted villaaa!
MEERA
Don’t joke about it. You know this place has a history.
ARJUN
History is for tourists. We’re here to chill.
PRIYA
(chuckling)
And to celebrate Meera’s birthday. Don’t spoil the mood.
They all laugh. The SUV drives
uphill. Camera pans to a broken signboard:
"AYESHA VILLA – PRIVATE PROPERTY"
EXT.
AYESHA VILLA – ENTRANCE – NIGHT
The SUV stops. The villa looms in
the fog. A decayed colonial mansion with broken windows, vines crawling across
its walls.
Thunder roars.
The group exits the car with bags.
CLOSE ON: The iron gate creaks open by itself.
MEERA freezes.
MEERA
Did you see that? It opened—
ARJUN
Just the wind. Come on.
They walk inside.
INT.
VILLA – LIVING ROOM – NIGHT
Dusty chandeliers. Broken furniture.
A giant family portrait hangs crooked. A candle flickers even though no one lit
it.
PRIYA
This place is… creepier than the pictures online.
KARAN
Creepier means… perfect for a birthday adventure!
He sets a Bluetooth speaker, starts
music.
But the speaker crackles with
static. Distorted whispers play instead of the song.
Whisper Voice (V.O.)
(soft, chilling)
Leave… before… sunrise…
Everyone freezes.
ARJUN
(low voice)
Must be some frequency issue. Forget it.
They unpack nervously.
INT.
VILLA – KITCHEN – NIGHT
PRIYA lights candles for dinner.
MEERA notices fresh handprints
on the dusty kitchen counter.
MEERA
Guys… these prints…
KARAN
(presses his hand over them)
See? Same size. Probably ours.
But the handprints are wet… as if
dipped in blood.
Meera gasps.
INT.
VILLA – FIRST FLOOR HALLWAY – NIGHT
The group explores with flashlights.
The corridor is lined with locked rooms. A long carpet, moth-eaten.
Suddenly — a DOOR CREAKS open by
itself.
Inside: A GIRL’S ROOM.
- Old dolls on shelves.
- A cracked mirror.
- On the bed: a teddy bear with one eye missing.
MEERA picks it up.
FLASH CUT:
A little girl’s laughter echoes.
Meera drops the teddy.
INT.
VILLA – LIVING ROOM – LATER
The group sits in a circle with
snacks. Trying to lighten the mood.
KARAN
Okay, ghost story time!
He starts narrating, but the lights
flicker.
The front door SLAMS shut on its
own.
Everyone jumps.
MEERA
(terrified)
I told you this place isn’t normal.
ARJUN
We’re not kids. It’s an old villa. Relax.
But the portrait on the wall
slowly TILTS until it falls with a loud CRASH.
Behind the portrait, a hidden wooden
panel is revealed.
INT.
SECRET ROOM – NIGHT
They pry open the panel. Inside is a
small hidden room.
- A dusty table.
- Burnt candles.
- A leather diary with the name: AYESHA.
Meera opens it. Pages filled with
drawings of a girl, strange rituals, blood stains.
Meera reads aloud:
"The night they locked me here… the night I died…"
Suddenly— a distant SCREAM echoes
through the villa.
INT.
VILLA – STAIRS – NIGHT
The group rushes to the staircase.
A SHADOWY FIGURE of a woman in a
white dress is seen at the far end of the hall. Long hair covers her face.
They freeze.
KARAN
(whispers)
Who… who’s there?
The woman turns slightly— then
VANISHES.
Everyone breathes heavily.
Meera clutches the diary tightly.
INT.
VILLA – LIVING ROOM – MIDNIGHT
The friends gather. Tension rises.
MEERA
This diary… it’s hers. Aysha. She lived here.
ARJUN
We don’t know that. Maybe it’s fake.
PRIYA
What about that scream?
KARAN
Maybe a local prank?
The whispering voice returns.
This time louder:
Whisper Voice (V.O.)
You… should not… have come…
The chandelier SHATTERS above them.
Glass rains down.
The screen FADES TO BLACK.

chandelier crash. Glass shards glitter on the floor.
Meera still clutches Aysha’s diary.
ARJUN
(angry)
Enough of this drama. We’re leaving.
He tries to open the front door. It
won’t budge. He pulls harder.
LOCKED from outside.
KARAN
That’s impossible… we didn’t lock it!
Whispers rise again, circling them.
EXT.
VILLA – PORCH – NIGHT
They try windows. Every frame is sealed
with rusted iron bars.
PRIYA
It’s like… it doesn’t want us to leave.
Suddenly, a dim lantern light
approaches from the foggy road.
An OLD CARETAKER (60s)
appears. Thin, wrinkled, wearing a raincoat. He stares at them through the
bars.
CARETAKER
(rough, hushed)
You shouldn’t be here. Leave… before night ends.
ARJUN
We can’t! The doors are locked from inside!
The caretaker shakes his head.
CARETAKER
The villa chooses… who comes in. But never… who leaves.
He vanishes into the mist as if he
was never there.
INT.
VILLA – SECRET ROOM – LATER
The group sits around the diary.
Meera reads:
MEERA
(softly, reading)
"Father locked me here when I tried to tell the truth. I hear the
whispers. I see the woman. She says… she is me."
The candle flames flicker violently.
Suddenly — a BANG upstairs.
INT.
VILLA – FIRST FLOOR – NIGHT
They run upstairs. The GIRL’S ROOM
door is wide open now. The teddy bear lies on the floor, slashed.
A MIRROR on the wall shows not their
reflection but four CHILDREN crying.
PRIYA gasps.
PRIYA
Oh my God…
The mirror cracks. A shard shoots
out, cutting Karan’s cheek.
KARAN
(shouting)
What the hell is happening here?!
INT.
VILLA – DINING HALL – NIGHT
They regroup at the table.
ARJUN
Listen. We need to stay calm. Stay together. Sunrise is only a few hours away.
KARAN
No. I’m not sitting here waiting to die. I’ll find a way out.
He storms off, grabbing a
flashlight.
MEERA
Karan, wait!
INT.
VILLA – BASEMENT STAIRS – NIGHT
Karan finds a locked trapdoor under
the carpet. He forces it open. A cold stench rises.
KARAN
(into the darkness)
Maybe there’s a way out here…
He climbs down.
INT.
BASEMENT – NIGHT
Pitch dark. The beam of his
flashlight reveals chains, shackles, old blood stains on the wall.
Karan gulps. His light catches a
FIGURE in the corner.
A little GIRL, hair covering her
face, humming softly.
KARAN
(whispers)
Hello…?
The girl slowly lifts her head — her
face is decayed, hollow eyes, jaw twisted.
She SCREAMS.
The flashlight EXPLODES. Darkness.
Karan’s SCREAM echoes. Then silence.
INT.
VILLA – LIVING ROOM – SAME TIME
The group hears Karan’s scream.
MEERA
(screaming)
That was Karan!
They rush downstairs.
INT.
BASEMENT STAIRS – NIGHT
They descend cautiously. The
flashlight beam wavers.
On the floor — Karan’s phone,
cracked.
No sign of him.
PRIYA
(tears in her eyes)
He’s gone…
ARJUN
He can’t just vanish!
Meera flips open the diary again.
Close on the diary:
"The first will vanish into the dark. Claimed by the basement."
MEERA
(terrified whisper)
It’s written here… exactly what happened to Karan.
INT.
VILLA – UPSTAIRS HALLWAY – LATER
They retreat upstairs. Every step
echoes. Doors slam one by one down the corridor until only one remains open.
Inside: A MASTER BEDROOM.
On the wall, a huge painting of a
young girl — AYESHA.
But the eyes of the painting are
scratched out.
Meera reads another page.
MEERA
"They never saw me. They only saw the curse. I begged them to listen…
but the whispers made me kill."
PRIYA
(sobbing)
She was possessed. She wasn’t evil, she was a victim!
Suddenly, the PAINTING BLEEDS from
the eyes.
INT.
MASTER BEDROOM – NIGHT (CONTINUOUS)
The room shakes violently. Cupboards
fly open, objects crash.
The DOOR SLAMS shut behind them.
The WHISPER VOICE grows louder — now
dozens of overlapping voices:
Whispers (V.O.)
Stay… with us… forever…
The group huddles.
A shadowy FEMALE FIGURE appears at
the foot of the bed. Hair long, face unseen. She steps closer.
The lantern blows out. Darkness
swallows the room.
INT.
VILLA – LIVING ROOM – LATER
The three survivors manage to escape
the room, panting, bruised.
ARJUN
This isn’t a haunting… it’s a trap.
PRIYA
Then how do we break it?
MEERA
(holding diary)
The last page… it’s missing. Without it, we won’t know how her story ends.
Suddenly — the CARETAKER appears
again at the window.
CARETAKER
(low, warning)
The diary will finish itself… when the villa chooses its final victim.
He fades away again.
INT.
VILLA – STAIRCASE – PRE-DAWN HOURS
The three argue.
ARJUN
We fight this. No more running.
PRIYA
You don’t fight the dead!
MEERA
Maybe… maybe we free her. That’s what she wants.
They hear a faint CHILD’S CRY from
upstairs.
They look at each other. Then climb.
INT.
ATTIC – NIGHT
A tiny attic door creaks open.
Inside: a shrine made of toys, bones, and candles burnt down.
In the center — the last page of
the diary, nailed to the floor.
Meera picks it up. Reads aloud:
"At sunrise, I will be free.
But only if another takes my place."
ARJUN
What the hell does that mean?
The attic door slams shut.
AYESHA’S FULL APPARITION appears — a
rotting girl in a white frock, eyes hollow, mouth stretched unnaturally wide.
She SCREAMS.
The attic shakes violently as the
friends huddle together, the diary glowing faintly in Meera’s hands.
FADE
TO BLACK.
